Web18 de jul. de 2024 · My understanding is that for hard drives constant 45C is better than fluctuating 25-30C. Fritz said: I think the higher the temp the shorter the life. This becomes true at much higher temperatures. There is just a single thing in my server room I would definitely want to keep below 30C and it's UPS batteries. Apple only supplies minimum and maximum ambient temperatures; the specified ambient temperature range for your MacBook 50° to 95° F (10° to 35° C) ( source ).

In summer the temperature are very high(at least in my area reaches about 46 degrees), so you cannot expect the hard drive temperatures to be any lower than that. The max temperatures I ever got was 54 degrees c in summer. I never installed a cooler and neither did the hard drive caused any issues. Web5 de ago. de 2024 · 221. Posted August 5, 2024. There is no definite answer. The 60°C that WD specifies is the max operating temperature, meaning at that point it will still function properly. That doesn't mean it won't have any effect on it. Generally speaking, anything below 60°C is fine, as long as it's not for a prolonged duration.

The temp for the harddrive's are quite normal and good, the difference is as posted above the DS heat disposal design, so the harddrive closest to the Mb is always 2-5 degrees warmer. I wouldn't worry about heat until it reached 45 degrees or more, and even with that temp can the disk survive for long time.
