WebI've seen other combo drugs split before, but not Contrave. I had a patient where Contrave was too expensive and the prescriber wanted to split it so it would be covered/be cheaper. Naltrexone is only available as a 50 mg immediate release tablet though. They wanted to do a 1/4 of a tablet twice daily and then bupropion 150 SR twice daily with it. WebI’ve not stopped Contrave but I have stopped Wellbutrin cold turkey and I wouldn’t recommend. It’s not fun. They suggest titrating down the same way you went up, 4 then 3 then 2 then 1, over the course of 4 or 5 weeks. Your brain could be in for a real shock if you don’t.
