WebHonestly, Owl strikes me as the type that will only fight head on if he knows he can win for certain. That's why he setup Wolf to fight Lady Butterfly and then quietly backstab whoever that remains. He also asked Wolf to fight Emma knowing that it's possible for old man Isshin to join the fight as well. Again, not fighting them head on.
